You can start Peer Coaching as a client as soon as you begin your program. head over to CoachCampus and list yourself as a client
Development Labs run for 60 minutes. In each lab students take on the role of coach, client or participant.
IN THE ROLE OF COACH
These labs are the perfect place to practice setting the Coaching Agreement and fine tuning your coaching presence. In these sessions, be mindful of the ICF competencies, but don’t be ruled by them. This is the space to make mistakes, ask questions, and test new techniques.
IN THE ROLE OF CLIENT
In the spirit of supporting your fellow students, we ask that you offer to be a client in these sessions. The coaching content should be suitable for coaching in a public space and be suitable for a short session.
AS A PARTICIPANT
You will listen to your peers coach and the feedback provided by faculty. The more familiar you can be with these competencies the easier it will be when you take on the role of coach yourself.
Use this worksheet when you are a participant in mentor coaching, observing the coaching of your peers. Make a note of the competencies you observe, or where you notice a competency is not present but would have been helpful.
